The Wreck Auctions Ltd (Auckland, New Zealand) uses your details, and those of anyone meeting the driver, to arrange your tow: our team and the towing company that does it see them, we check the plate or VIN with CarJam and the Police list of stolen vehicles, Addy suggests the addresses as you type them, OpenStreetMap finds an address not chosen from the suggestions on the map, and its routing server (FOSSGIS, in Germany) gets the two places on the map to work out the distance by road, each under its own privacy policy. The vehicle and the addresses are needed for the tow authority the law requires.
